About this webinar

Facing climate urgency, green hydrogen has emerged as a strategic lever for decarbonizing the most emission-intensive sectors: steel (~7% of global CO₂ emissions), fertilizers, refining, shipping and aviation. The IEA projects global H₂ demand at 660 Mt by 2050 in a carbon-neutral scenario. Today, green production stands at only 0.1 Mt, against projected demand of 38 Mt by 2030.

This webinar provides a comprehensive overview of current incentive schemes: IRA §45V tax credit (up to $3/kg in the United States), European Hydrogen Bank (€0.48–1.50/kg), Indian SIGHT programme (₹19,744 Cr), Japanese contracts for difference (¥15,000 billion over 15 years) and Australian HeadStart programme (A$2 billion). It also explores how voluntary carbon markets and Article 6.4 mechanisms of the Paris Agreement enable revenue stacking — up to an additional $0.15–0.80/kg H₂.

Life cycle assessment (LCA) in accordance with ISO 14040/44/67 standards is no longer optional: the European RFNBO regulation, US §45V and the future Indian BIS standard all mandate certified carbon intensity. With 1 kg CO₂e/kg H₂ for wind and 2 kg for solar, compared to 12 kg for grey hydrogen (SMR without CCS), the certification challenge is direct.

  • Comparative analysis of global public policies and their real value for project developers
  • Cradle-to-gate LCA framework and certification requirements (CertifHy, TÜV SÜD, BIS)
  • Carbon opportunities: VCM, ITMOs Article 6.2/6.4, revenue stacking
  • Concrete action plan for industrial players: 7 steps over 1 to 12 months
